SENAT are offering schools an EHCNA Request Consultation Service.
This is free and open to all West Sussex SENCos, Inclusion Leaders, Teachers in Charge of SSCs and Senior Leaders from Nurseries through to
Colleges. The consultation can be tailored to your needs. The conversation may cover the
following areas:
\u2022 general guidance regarding completing an EHCNA request
\u2022 discussion about the child or young person
\u2022 reasons for making a request
\u2022 evidence formed over time
\u2022 the graduated approach and completion of cycles of Assess, Plan, Do,
Review
\u2022 timing of potential request
\u2022 provision maps
\u2022 outside agency involvement
\u2022 what panel will be looking for
\u2022 Ordinarily Available Inclusive Practice, information on the local offer and
guidance and criteria for requests
